Toward Viability Release Party

  • LexTran 200 West Loudon Avenue Lexington, Kentucky 40505 (map)

The non-profit sector is integral to a city’s civic life. They offer an array of valuable services that fall outside of market desires and public necessities. In Lexington alone, non-profit organizations serve the community by providing educational programming and exposure to the sciences and humanities, access to medical care and support, opportunities to interact with animals and the natural world, and enrichment through volunteer experiences and social events.

But often, these organizations serve others at the cost of those who work for them. For the past 6 months, CivicLex has been studying how these organizations function and the impact that the sector has on those that it employs. Join the CivicLex Team for a free community conversation about the findings of the study, and learn about next steps.

Free and open to the public, with tickets available for an advance reservation. If you need childcare, please be in touch with CivicLex staff at info@civiclex.org, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

This report and event are made possible by the EE Murry Foundation, and were developed in partnership with the Blue Grass Community Foundation.
