CAIR Presents to Council

This Tuesday, CivicLex and the CAIR team gave City Council an update about our program during the weekly work session. Richard and Heather filled in council on the background and inspiration for the program, and what we hope to accomplish with it. Artists Hannah and Debra also introduced themselves to the Council and explained what they have been working on so far.

The council was excited about the creativity and enthusiasm we have already generated, and seemed to understand how transformative it could be. CM Lamb summed it up when she said “I don’t know if I’ve seen this much enthusiasm in this council chamber in a long time … what I’m feeling in this room right now is building strength”. Another CM may or may not have approached CivicLex about hosting a Council Improv Session 😉.
