Teacher Fellowships
CivicLex is seeking up to 3 paid fellows to assist with our K12 civic education programming. These fellows will be instrumental in reaching Fayette County students with our workshops and resources. The successful candidate will collaborate with schools and community organizations to create an engaging and inclusive civic education experience. You do NOT have to be a certified teacher to apply!

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching
After being trained on the content, teach our existing local government and city budget workshop in FCPS high school classrooms
Support Community Partnerships
Assisting with our community events like Civics Expo and Civics Day
Additional Support
Working with students while they create their Civic Engagement Projects
Connecting teachers or students with community leaders
Assisting with our Teacher Externship program
The ideal person for this position is someone who:
Enjoys creating opportunities for students to actively engage in their community
Has a passion for civic education and it’s role in strengthening communities
Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Compensation and details:
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Commitment: Approximately 30 hours/semester during the 25/26 academic school year
Pay: $20/hour
Reports to: Director of Civic Education, CivicLex
Candidate must reside in Lexington/Fayette County
