Meet the Civic Assembly Team

Lexington’s first Civic Assembly is hosted by CivicLex, a local nonprofit focused on strengthening the civic health in Lexington. We’re a small but mighty team of eight who have spent the last two years researching, creating, and conducting this Civic Assembly! We’re very proud to live and work in our community — and we’re the first Civic Assembly in the United States to be fully locally run and organized.

While the entire CivicLex staff have been involved in some way in this process, we have a core team who are leading the assembly. Meet them below.

Kit Anderson - Assembly Lead

Kit Anderson is the Deputy Director of CivicLex. Kit has spent the last two years leading this project and talking to subject experts, community members, and international groups to make sure this assembly reflects the needs of our community while following best practices. During the Civic Assembly, she will work closely with the facilitator and guest speakers while also ensuring assembly members feel welcomed, supported, and comfortable.
