CivicLex Goes To UK!

Richard, Gillian, and Adrian all made separate visits to the University of Kentucky to discuss the importance of voting and local elections!

Richard presented to Professor Dan Kahl's CLDL 430: Leading and Community course, Adrian presented to students in the Leadership and Service Living Learning Program, and Gillian appeared on WUKY's Campus Voices alongside none other than Secretary of State Michael Adams!

We're fortunate to have a lot of relationships with educators, administrators, and students at UK who are willing to help us spread the word about the importance of voting in Lexington. Anecdotally, we’ve found that UK students are often not engaged with local issues and in many cases aren’t registered to vote in Lexington - despite living here! Young folks are the future of our city and we want to help them ensure their perspectives are part of our local civic life. We’re always happy to visit UK, Transy, BCTCS, FCPS, and anywhere where we can talk with young folks about the importance of local civic engagement.
