Farewell, Jillian!
Jillian Riseman, who brought you the CivicLex Weekly in 2023, has left CivicLex to accept a new role as the Urban County Council’s first-ever Public Information Officer! While we are sad to see her leave the team, we are grateful for Jillian’s service brining accessible, accurate, and timely information about City Hall to Lexington — and we’re grateful that she will continue similar work from inside City Hall! We look forward to working with you in your new role and seeing all of your new success, Jillian!
Adrian Paul Bryant will be taking over our City Hall coverage in a new role as our first-ever Civic Information Specialist! Adrian is a familiar face around CivicLex, having served in 2022 in as an AmericorpsVISTA focused on news and social media, and in 2023 as a part-time Newsletter Editor. This is our first full-time staff position focusing on news coverage within CivicLex, and will focus on writing this newsletter while also setting the groundwork for us to expand our news operations over the next year. Welcome back to the office, Adrian!
