We wrapped Phase I of the Lexington Parks Equity Accelerator!

Phase I of the Parks Equity Accelerator wrapped last week with Focus Group conversations that included Parks and Recreation staff and the executive directors from our partner organizations. Our goal with this phase was to hear what was working well with parks and green space access and outreach in Lexington and what could be better. We met with a wide number of organizations and individuals working for more equitable access to green space.

We'll use what we've learned in these conversations to guide Phase II: a series of community workshops and on-site educational events that aim to share the information we've gathered about the history of Parks policy and to illuminate ways to get involved in current parks decision-making processes.
