πŸ”Ž - Big Topic: Neighborhood Action Match Grant

LFUCG's Division of Grants and Special Programs is currently accepting applications from eligible neighborhood associations for the Neighborhood Action Matching Grant Program. The deadline for submission of an application to this program is 5 pm, Friday, Aug. 12, 2022.

  • These funds are meant to match donations from neighborhood associations, individuals, businesses, and other organizations to support eligible neighborhood associations performing community activities.

  • See the complete guidelines here. The maximum program award is $10,000. The recipient must match all funds equally through cash contributions or donated materials, services, or labor.

  • Neighborhood associations in eligible census tracts may apply for a reduced match commitment. A match must be at least 10% of the total project cost if the neighborhood association is in a qualified census tract. Look into eligible Census tracks on Page 6.

πŸ”Ž - More from our Civic Artists in Residency

Thank you to everyone who showed up to our CAIR celebration last week!

Debra Faulk, Hannah Allen, and Tony Gilmore have all worked hard to get to this point. Debra and Hannah both have art shows coming up, so your support doesn't have to end here.

Quilt queen Hannah Allen will display her artwork on the third floor of the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center at 141 E Main Street from Jul. 29 to Oct. 3.

Comedy Empress Debra Faulk also had her first Comedy "Bong Show" this past Friday. These shows will be held at 9 pm on the first Friday of each month, featuring three performers. The show is $10, located at 3120 Pimlico Parkway #118. The next show is on Aug. 5. Head to Debra's website to learn more!

Filmmaker Tony Gilmore will also be holding some play-throughs of his board game, The Living City! We'll keep you updated on when you can attend.
