It’s Pollinator Week in Lexington

National Pollinator Week is an annual event celebrated internationally in support of pollinator health. Fifteen years ago the U.S. Senate’s unanimous approval and designation of a week in June as “National Pollinator Week” marked a huge step toward addressing the issue of declining pollinator populations. Pollinator Week has grown into an international celebration that promotes the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats, beetles, moths, wasps, and flies. This week, there will be a whole slew of events and activities around the city that you can check out!
