LFUCG Fund Balance Allocations Update

Council voted to adopt $40M worth of new spending out of the city's FY22 Fund Balance in Thursday's Council Meeting. Many of the Council Recommendations we showed you last week were removed, and some were set aside to be considered for future funding elsewhere.

From Mayor Gorton:

  • Public Safety Base Salary Adjustments (for Police, Fire, Corrections): $17 million

  • Extended Public Safety Measures: $9 million

  • Additional Affordable Housing Contribution: $3.87 million (Number includes $1 million from ARPA)

  • Capital Project Additions: $2.35 million

  • Council District Neighborhood Capital Funds: $2.25 million (150k for each council member)

  • Non-Sworn Employee One-Time Supplement: $1.2 million

  • Violence Prevention and Intervention Programming: $1 million

  • Contribution to Economic Contingency (Before Council Deliberation, $3.5M): $1.2 million

  • Unhoused Wintering Solutions: $300k

  • Cybersecurity: $100k

From Council:

  • CM Worley & Ellinger Sports - Complex: $1 million from Economic Contingency

  • CM Ellinger - High Street Entrance to Town Branch: $1 million

  • VM Kay - Solarize Lexington: $1 million from Economic Contingency

  • CM McCurn, CM Ellinger - Quiet Zone Implementation: $125K

  • CM Lamb - Arboretum Improvements: $300k

TOTAL: $40.7 million
