Progress report on the American Rescue Plan Act Spending

Update:

The City Council heard a presentation at last Tuesday’s Work Session about how Lexington’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)-funded projects are going.

  • As a reminder, ARPA funding is federal relief and stimulus funding connected to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lexington received around $121 million and you can learn more that funding here.

Jenifer Wuroenmaa, Lexington’s ARPA Project Manager shared that of the city’s 80 ARPA-funded projects, 30 have been completed, 46 are in process, and 4 have yet to be started. She also shared updates on several individual  projects and their impact.

You can view the entire presentation here. This presentation was for information only and no action was taken at the meeting.

In Work Session, ARPA Project Manager Jenifer Wuorenmaa will give the annual update on the American Rescue Plan Act Funding. As of June 30th of this year, 28 of the 80 proposed ARPA projects have been completed, and only 4 have yet to be started at all. You can view the entire presentation here.

Council Work Session will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd at 3pm in Council Chambers. You can attend in person or watch live on LexTV.
