Rural Land Management Board begins to consider Short Term Rental Policy in the Rural Service Area

5th District Councilmember Liz Sheehan attended the Rural Land Management Board (RLMB) meeting on Wednesday April 26th to give a presentation on the new Short Term Rental (STR) policy she has been working on with At-Large Councilmember James Brown. The policy they presented at the General Government and Planning Committee meeting in March only addresses STRs within the Urban Service Boundary, and they are seeking input and recommendations the RLMB on how to best extend and enforce this policy in Lexington’s rural and agricultural zones. No action was taken at this meeting.
