The first draft of the Urban Growth Master Plan is published!

Recommended area for the expansion of the Urban Service Boundary.

The Division of Planning has published the first draft of the Urban Growth Management Plan! This plan sets out a vision for how the new expansion areas of the Urban Service Boundary should be developed.

On October 17th, the Planning Commission will have a public hearing on the plan. At the public hearing, you can speak to the Commission about what you like and don’t like about the proposed plan. If you can’t make it to the public hearing, you can leave digital comments on the online draft of the plan.

Planning staff and consulting team will use the public input, as well as input from the Planning Commission, to make changes to the draft. The final draft must be completed by December 1st of this year.

CivicLex’s writing staff has not had time to look through the plan in detail yet, but we will bring you more coverage of its contents soon!

You can read the draft and leave digital comments here!
