The Planning Commission has approved the Goals and Objectives!

The Planning Commission passed the Goals & Objectives for the 2045 Comprehensive Plan on Thursday night! The next stop for Goals & Objectives? City Council!

Now that they’ve been approved by the Planning Commission, Council will have 90 days to review, alter, and approve the Goals and Objectives with whatever changes they’d like. Council has the final say on the language of the Goals and Objectives.

After the Goals and Objectives are finalized, they will head back to the Planning Commission for the Elements & Implementation process. At this stage, the Planning Commission will start to think about the specific policy recommendations needed to achieve the final goals that Council puts forward.

This process is should be completed by the end of this summer, with the release of an newly updated, complete Comprehensive Plan! You can read more about the Comprehensive Plan and the Goals & Objectives process on our website!
