We’re working with UK on a non-profit management program!

CivicLex signed on to work with Dr. Kimberly Stoltzfus and her class in UK’s Lewis Honors College this week. The class, Applying Real World Project Management in Service to a Nonprofit, will pair small groups of students with CivicLex, On the Move Art Studio, and Girls on the Run to design and implement capacity-building projects for the organizations.

To add to the challenge and to simulate real-world project budgeting, the students will only have $100 to work with, which they’ll have to raise themselves during the semester. We’ll hear from our student team on Tuesday. From there, we’ll set up a first meeting, plan time for the students to observe the CivicLex office and help with a few events, and after a few weeks, we’ll hear their project proposals.

We’re excited to be part of this program and can’t wait to hear the student’s ideas!
