Annual Update from Juvenile Treatment Court

Representatives from the Juvenile Treatment Court gave a presentation to the SSPS Committee. Their presentation provided an overview of the program, which provides counseling and mentorship services to youth in Fayette County

The Juvenile Treatment Court Program officially launched in 2022 with funding from Fayette County Public Schools, the Administrative Office of Courts, and LFUCG. They are currently working with 11 participants, and have had 2 graduates of the program. Councilmembers expressed admiration for the program and its staff.

No action was taken on the item.


The SSPS Committee will also hear an annual update from the Juvenile Treatment Court, which uses court supervision, mental health treatment, education and personal accountability, and other services to help and support juvenile offenders.
