Update

At this meeting, Councilmembers finished their review of the red-line draft provided to them by the Planning Staff. They discussed adding clarifying language to several sections, including:

  • Referring to “traffic” and transportation systems as inclusive to bicycles and pedestrians, not just motorized vehicles

  • Promoting public art to be its own goal with objectives

  • Implementation of the work from the Goal 4 Workgroup related to the Urban and Rural Service Areas

Council is meeting again on Tuesday, May 2nd at 5pm in Council Chambers to continue discussions on the Comprehensive Plan Goals & Objectives. They will also be hearing public comment on the Goals and Objectives at their Committee of the Whole on May 9th at 5pm. Make sure to attend if you want to weigh in! You can watch the recording on LexTV.
