Dutch Bros is back for a zone change

Council held a public hearing about a zone change to a portion of South Limestone Street which is the proposed site of a new Dutch Bros coffee shop. This shop would have a double drive-thru and walk-up window only, with no indoor seating and it would be located on the corner of Limestone and Colfax Street. This meeting is open to the public and council will be hearing public comments during this meeting.

Update:

The hearing was requested by the applicant following a disapproval by the Planning Commission earlier this year. Because Planning Staff and Planning Commission both recommended disapproval, the applicant needed a Council majority (minimum 8 out of 15 “yes” votes) to approve the zone change. After one failed motion to disapprove the application, the applicant was unable to secure the majority of Council’s approval, so the Planning Commission’s ruling stands, and the zone change was not approved.

This Zone Change Hearing was held on Thursday, May 18th at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers. You can watch the recording on LexTV.
