Lexington Hamlets Project

December 6th’s Planning and Public Safety (PPS) Committee Meeting, members heard a presentation on the Lexington Hamlets Project. This project, started by District 12 Councilmember Kathy Plomin, examines ways to preserve historical artifacts and buildings relating to Lexington’s hamlets. Hamlets, as defined by the project, are rural historically Black settlements founded between 1800 and 1920. You can view the presentation for the Lexington Hamlets Project on page 36 of this packet.
