Council has approved housing assistance funding for homeless families, and money to support eviction diversion and legal services for tenants.

In Februar 13th’s General Government and Planning (GGP) Committee, Councilmembers heard a presentation on the upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) to study and assess Lexington’s needs for new homeless shelters.

At the Budget, Finance, and Economic Development Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 26th, Councilmembers passed the revised ordinance changing funding for the Innovative and Sustainable Solution to Homelessness Fund.

On Tuesday, September 6, LFUCG Homelessness Prevention Manager Jeff Herron will present an annual update on the Office of Homelessness Prevention and Intervention at the General Government and Social Services (GGSS) Committee Meeting.
