Session 3 Recap
On Tuesday, March 10th, assembly members gathered at Transylvania University's Cowgill Building to learn more about the Urban County Charter, how other cities do charter review, and how other sections of the charter could be impacted by charter review. During their time, the group learned about how past charter review processes played out in Augusta, GA, Beavercreek, OH, Portland, OR, and Lexington in 1998. They also heard from Megan Griffith, Senior Municipal Law Attorney at Kentucky League of Cities, about legal issues around charters in Kentucky.
