Council hears from Lextran and the Parking Authority on their FY24 budgets

In Work Session, Councilmembers heard from Lextran on their proposed FY24 operating budget. Their presentation reviewed Lextran’s operations and achievements of FY23, and looked ahead to what they hope will be accomplished this year. They also outline a 5-year capital plan along with next year’s operating budget.

After that, the Lexington & Fayette County Parking Authority presented their FY24 proposed budget to Council.

Update:

Lextran, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, presented on their ridership, fleet, and improvements before reviewing their $33.9 Million budget proposal. The Parking Authority highlighted their revenue changes and maintenance projects, as well as some of the improvements they look forward to this year. You can review both budget presentations here. Both budgets were approved by Council.
