Sustainable Growth Study

In August 30th’s Council Work Session, CM James Brown, chair of the Planning and Public Safety Committee of the Urban County Council presented the Sustainable Growth Study to the full council.

Work on the Sustainable Growth Study began in December of 2019, and it was designed to create an objective, data-driven methodology to help guide decisions for aligning the Urban Service Boundary. The last meeting about this issue was in June, where some amendments to the resolution were adopted. Check out our summary of that presentation here. You can also find more information on the Sustainable Growth Study, the Goal 4 Workgroup, and the Urban Service Boundary more broadly here.

At last week's Council Work Session, Council voted to adopt the Sustainable Growth Study and future data that will come from the study.
