Council Approves Zone Change for 164 Apartments on Paris Pike
On February 13th, Council held a Public Hearing for a Zone Change request for properties at 2200 Old Paris Pike and 2324 Paris Pike. Joyland Crossing LLC is seeking this zone change from a Highway Business Zone (B-3) to a Medium Density Residential Zone (R-4) to construct a four-building apartment complex with 164 total units.
Exactions Program Update
During the last Urban Service Boundary expansion in 1996, Lexington created an exaction program requiring developers to pay a fee for the parcel they were developing in the expansion area, offsetting the cost to local government.

Lexington Public Infrastructure Program
In Tuesday’s Budget, Finance, and Economic Development (BFED) Committee, there will be a presentation on the Lexington Public Infrastructure Program. Council allocated $ 3 million for the creation of this program, which will provide funding to developers to construct public infrastructure necessary for their infill and redevelopment projects.
